Playlist – August 26th, 2009

c - blurrrFinally, I can share a few of my mixes with you all, courtesy of this awesome site, SoundCloud.  Peep the waveform player below and listen.  As promised, this was a mostly Ambient mix, with a little IDM and other tidbits thrown in for good measure.  I’m gonna do some crate diggin’ next week and see what stuff I can find in terms of some more ambient and IDM.  Its getting harder and harder, especially since I’m looking for vinyl (though willing to settle on cd).  My problem is always that I love so many styles that I could spend days in the record shops and still not be content.  If anyone wants to send me stuff, holler!  (No, really…)  ;)

Here’s today’s show:

  1. […] Its a tough business to break into, and you’re gonna end up spending some cash without possibly ever seeing that money come back.  Its even tougher when you’re broke or unemployed, but that doesn’t mean its impossible.  These two sites and programs alone give you a free means to record your music and expose it to countless amounts of potential fans.  You just gotta give ‘em a go.  I’ve started using them myself for my dj sets and radio shows.  Peep this post on my other site.
